Read our notes on general
The OM System OM-1 Mark II is a high-speed Micro Four Thirds camera based around a 20MP Stacked CMOS sensor. As the name implies, it's an updated version of the flagship OM-1, with a series of hardware and firmware improvements. The OM-1 Mark II boasts an impressive 8.5 EV stops of stabilisation, taking it 1.5 stops further than the already impressive OM-1. It also features Sync-IS up to 8.5 stops. The OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II is purpose-built for bird photography, featuring intelligent AI Detection AF that locks onto birds in flight — even when they're flying directly towards the camera. Its ultra-fast stacked sensor readout enables 50fps AF/AE bursts, 120fps fixed AF, and a blackout-free EVF, allowing you to track subjects smoothly without losing sight.
