What We Like
+Exceptional 100MP medium format sensor with 15 stops of dynamic range delivers outstanding image quality and fine detail
+Highly versatile modular design—CFV 100C back can be attached to 907X body, vintage V-system film cameras, or technical cameras
+Compact and lightweight for medium format at 620g (907X + CFV 100C), making it surprisingly portable for a professional system
+Tilting touchscreen (3.2-inch, 40°/90° tilt) offers classic waist-level and modern viewing flexibility
+Phase Detection Autofocus with 294 focus points and face detection provides reliable and significantly faster focusing than previous generation
+Built-in 1TB SSD with CFexpress slot provides excellent storage capacity without separate media requirements
Worth Knowing
No in-body image stabilization (IBIS) requires tripod use for handheld stability, limiting fast-action shooting capability
Slower autofocus compared to contemporary mirrorless cameras—not designed for sports or wildlife photography
No video capability whatsoever, limiting it to still photography only
Lacks weather sealing despite modular design and rubber button seals; risky in heavy rain or harsh conditions due to exposed electronics in digital back

Read our notes on general
The Hasselblad 907X & CFV 100C combines an iconic design with exquisite craftsmanship, featuring a 100MP medium format BSI CMOS sensor with phase detection autofocus and a Hasselblad Natural Color Solution. It's one of the lightest medium format camera options available today, weighing about 700 grams with the battery included. Its greatest strength is modularity—the CFV 100C can be attached to technical camera systems and left on a tripod, attached to legacy Hasselblad film cameras as a digital back, or paired with the 907X when portability is the goal. There's no better system for high-end studio, landscape or commercial work that demands a tripod.
