Read our notes on general
The Fujifilm X-E5 represents a significant repositioning of the X-E series from its budget-oriented predecessor to a more premium mid-range offering. It delivers the same analog controls and a film-camera-inspired user experience as the X100VI but gives you the option to switch lenses. The X-E5 is the first X-E series camera to incorporate five-axis in-body image stabilization rated at up to 7.0 stops of compensation, with DPReview testing finding approximately 6.5 stops of real-world benefit. With rangefinder styling that remains a photography-focused tool, it has earned a Silver award from DPReview.
