Canon EOS R5 C

The Canon EOS R5 C is a full-frame mirrorless camera released in 2022. It pairs 45-megapixel resolution with a video specification centred on 8K recording, which makes it a natural fit for photographers and filmmakers who want one body for both crafts.

Carrying it is a commitment. At 770 grams and measuring 142 x 101 x 111mm, it is a substantial body, and the RF mount means a considered lens kit completes the setup.

The high-resolution sensor gives cropping headroom for landscape and commercial work, while the recording ceiling covers ambitious moving-image projects.

The 45-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor is the heart of the stills experience. That resolution gives room for large prints and heavy cropping, which suits landscape, studio and commercial work where detail matters. The Digic X processor handles the data pipeline.

Up to 20 frames per second is available for maximum bursts, enough for fleeting expressions at events and sports. Treat that as a peak figure rather than a promise of sustained shooting. A top shutter speed of 1/8000s helps handle fast motion and bright conditions.
