Read our notes on general
The Zeiss Otus ML 35mm f/1.4 is the company's first-ever 35mm lens in the Otus family, available in Sony E, Canon RF, and Nikon Z mounts for full-frame mirrorless cameras. It delivers excellent image quality, exceptional build quality, a pleasant manual focusing experience, and distinctive, character-filled image quality. The bokeh is luscious with smooth transitions and smooth backgrounds, with clear evidence of careful design effort. However, the lens suffers from severe longitudinal chromatic aberration like other Zeiss Otus lenses, causing visible pink and cyan color fringing at wider apertures that only disappears around f/4.
