Read our notes on general
The Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN Art is the world's first full-frame zoom lens with a constant maximum aperture of F1.8, delivering sharpness and clarity comparable to that of a prime lens. It is a beautifully made, feature rich lens with a high end focus system, incredibly sharp, and has really gorgeous bokeh and rendering. Its focal length range is more limited than the popular 24-70mm range favored by many photographers, and its maximum aperture is 1.3 stops larger than an f/2.8 lens and 2.3 stops larger than an f/4 lens. Measuring 87.8mm in diameter and 153.4mm in length for the Sony E-mount version, it is longer than both the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 and weighs 950g, which is more than the Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II.
