Read our notes on general
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm F4.0-5.6 II is a compact wide-angle zoom lens that excels in landscape, architecture, and travel photography. Optical quality is very good for such a small wide-angle zoom lens, with images sharp from corner to corner, even when shooting wide open at f/4-5.6. A major advantage is its compact size and light weight, which pairs perfectly with lightweight camera bodies. The aperture is relatively dark and variable, which in a lens with such a narrow focal range isn't ideal, though it still performs well in moderately dim environments.
