+Smooth, quiet autofocus with manual focus override enables seamless use for both video and still photography
Worth Knowing
−Very narrow maximum aperture (f/4.0 at 14mm, f/6.3 at 30mm) limits low-light photography and creates challenges with fast autofocus in dim conditions
−Not weather-sealed and lacks fluorine coatings, making it vulnerable to dust and moisture
−Power zoom speed is very fast with limited ability to achieve slow, cinematic zooms—fixed zoom speed control may feel limiting for some creative applications
−Optical performance is good for the price but lacks refinements found in higher-end lenses; peripheral softness and minor color fringing in corners, especially less suitable for landscape photography
